Mrs. Baughn was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on October 9, 1868, the daughter of Agnes and Myron B. Corey. The family later moved to Iowa to engage in farming. Read More	From the Reno Evening Gazette, Thursday, September 17, 1953: FALLON MATRON'S RITES CONDUCTED Mrs. Kitty Baughn Taken by Death Mrs. Kitty Baughn died in Fallon Sunday night at the Martin Rest Home, where she had been a patient for the last two years. Mrs. Baughn was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on October 9, 1868, the daughter of Agnes and Myron B. Corey. The family later moved to Iowa to engage in farming. It was while attending Northern Iowa Normal College that she met William H. Reed, a professor, whom she married November 21, 1889, in Clear Lake Iowa. They became the parents of two daughters, both of whom survive. Professor Reed died many years ago. Mrs. Baughn came west in 1917 with her youngest daughter to visit at the Dodge home and decided to remain. For a time she worked at the Gray, Reid, Wright store in Fallon and later went to Reno, where she operated a candy store. In 1926, while working at Lake Tahoe for a movie company in the old silent picture days, she met and married Thomas Baughn. They went to Oakland, where they operated a grocery store for 18 years. In 1942 they sold out and returned to Fallon to retire. Mr. Baughn preceded his wife in death several years ago. Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Carl Dodge of Fallon and Mrs. Edward Reed of Big Creek, California, two brothers; Arthur Corey of Des Moines, Iowa and Byron Corey of Herman, Minnesota, a grandson; Carl Dodge, and a granddaughter; Mrs. Marlea Primeaux.
