M. and Clara Perry, was born in Dallas, Iowa, Aug. 30, 1917 and passed away at his home, Feb. 28, 1928 aged 10 years, 5 months and 28 days. Besides his parents Klell leaves to mourn his passing, three brothers and two sisters: Chas. L. Perry of Melcher, Mrs. Mabel Moore of Knoxville, IA; Don Perry of Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. Ruth Henry of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Orville Perry, also of Pontiac, Michigan; Mr. C. E. Bunch, grandfather, of Pleasantville. Along with these are a host of relatives and friends who mourn the death of this fine lad. He was well liked by the boys with whom he was acquainted and with whom he chummed. He was kind to old and young alike; very considerate of others and a great help and comfort to his mother. Mr. Perry will miss him greatly as he was a dutiful son, always will to obey the wishes of his parents. Klell became a member of the Church of Christ at Dallas, May 23, 1927. He was faithful in attendance at Sunday School and the regular Worship Services. Always courteous and carried a refreshing smile where ever he went. We shall all miss him and feel the loss of his presence day after day, but there is a thought that will remain with us that will help to heal the wound and perhaps cause each one of us to live better. I believe this little verse will speak for us the thought: Gem of our hearth, our household pride, Earth's undefiled, Could love have saved, thou hadst not died, Our dear sweet child ! Humbly we bow to Fate's decree; Yet had we hoped the Time should see Thee mourn for us; not us for thee. Yet 'tis sweet balm to our despair, Fond, fairest boy, That Heaven is God's and thou art there With Him in Joy; There past are death and all its woes; There Life's sweet stream forever flows, And rapture's day no sunset knows. Funeral services were held at the Dallas Church of Christ, Thursday, March 1, conducted by Elder Milton F. Dawson. The body was then taken to the Dallas Cemetery and laid to rest.
