Description	:	Undoubtedly named in honor of Tadeusz Kościuszko who was a famous Polish officer and military architect in the American Revolution who, among other great achievements, designed the state-of-the-art fortifications at West Point. He spent the second half of the war in the Southern Region assisting Gen. Nathaniel Greene and campaigning at the head of his own forces in both Carolinas. It would be interesting to find out if young Kosciusco Sadler's father or grandfather served under Colonel Kosciusco in the war.
