Funge the son of Janice (Albers) Funge and Lyle Funge, was born on August 11, 1969 in Sioux Falls, SD., where he grew up and attended Lincoln High School. He graduated in 1987. After high school, Kyle attended South Dakota State University for a short time before he discovered the college life wasn’t for him. During high school, Kyle started working at Burger King for many years, where he met many life-long friends. Later he found himself at American Freezer Service. Finally, he started working at Elliot Sports Center where he discovered his love for Motorsports. Through this, he was able to connect his two true passions, people and fast toys. He was always a people person. He had a contagious smile and laugh and he always knew how to make people happy. He devoted his life to his family and friends. He lived his life in the moment. He always did the things he enjoyed including attending concerts with friends, Nascar, super cross, motocross, golfing and sharing a few tasty beverages with friends and family. Although he left us far too soon, he always lived his life to the fullest. Kyle is survived by his father, Lyle Funge; his siblings, Shawn Luitjens, Rick Funge and Kim Hollingshead, all of Sioux Falls, SD; nieces, Sayli Knutson and Elissa (Sam) Eiesland and Melissa (Dan) Eich; nephews, Josh Funge and Ryan (Susie) Hollingshead; and many great–nieces and great-nephews and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janice; great-nieces, Emersyn Eiesland and Delaney Hollingshead; and his brother-in-law, Randy Hollingshead.
