Belle - 64, Oxford Junction, Cumberland Co., passed away peacefully in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst, on Saturday, October 28, 2006, with her family by her side. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of Marjorie M. (Mattinson) Cloney and the late Russell C. Cloney. She was a member of Trinity United Church, Oxford, and taught Sunday school for a number of years and was a past member of the board of trustees. She taught CGIT for a number of years and was past secretary of the Oxford Skating Club for a number of years. She was a graduate of Oxford Regional High School and a graduate of St. Charles Commercial School, Amherst. She spent her working years with the Department of Lands and Forests in Oxford and retired in 1994. She was a lover of the outdoors and an avid gardener, and she enjoyed her summers at the beach. She was devoted to her family, a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, David J. Stevens; her proud daughters, Krista Belle Warwick (Deiter), Oxford; Anne Elizabeth Stevens-Grant (Robert), Three Fathom Harbour; grandchildren, Bethany Belle Warwick and Brianna Jean Warwick, both at home; sister, Carolyn C. Graham, Dartmouth. Cremation has taken place at the request of the deceased. Private family graveside service will be held in Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Tuesday, October 31, Rev. Gary MacDougall officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity United Church, Oxford, or Canadian Cancer Society, Nova Scotia Division. Arrangements entrusted to Allen's Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford.
