Description	:	Mrs Margaret Yearous Smith, age 88 of New Market, died Sat Apr 12, at Clarinda Regional Health Center. She was born March 14, 1909 at Clarinda, the daughter of Raymond and Lena Castle Yearous. She lived her entire life in Page and Taylor Counties, excepting two years in South Dakota. After attending rural schools, she worked in homes when new babies were born and housekeeping. In 1954, she began work at the Mental Health Institute where she worked until 1971. Read More	Mrs Margaret Yearous Smith, age 88 of New Market, died Sat Apr 12, at Clarinda Regional Health Center. She was born March 14, 1909 at Clarinda, the daughter of Raymond and Lena Castle Yearous. She lived her entire life in Page and Taylor Counties, excepting two years in South Dakota. After attending rural schools, she worked in homes when new babies were born and housekeeping. In 1954, she began work at the Mental Health Institute where she worked until 1971. On August 16, 1971, she married Charles Smith in Mesa, Az. They made their home in New Market. Mrs Smith was a member of the New Market United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, brother, Leslie, and niece, Joyce Crane. Mrs Smith is survived by husband, Harold of the home, her step-daughter, Della Calhoon and husband, David, rural Clarinda, and step-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jennifer and Janet Calhoon. Also surviving is a brother, Gilbert Yearous and wife, Darlene, sister, Ethel Geer, and sister-in-law, Helen yearous, all of Clarinda, along with seven nieces and one nephew.
