Description	:	OBITUARY : LABAN L. ESHLEMAN, 73, of Hagerstown R.D. 6, died at his home at 8 a.m. today. He had been in apparent good health the last few days and had shoveled snow. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was born in Franklin County, near State Line, on Dec. 20, 1887, a son of the late Christian H. and Elizabeth (Lesher) Eshleman. He was a member of the Miller's Mennonite Church. ESHLEMAN, 73, of Hagerstown R.D. 6, died at his home at 8 a.m. today. He had been in apparent good health the last few days and had shoveled snow. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was born in Franklin County, near State Line, on Dec. 20, 1887, a son of the late Christian H. and Elizabeth (Lesher) Eshleman. He was a member of the Miller's Mennonite Church. He worked for 18 years in the Pen-Mar grocery store in Hagerstown, was superintendent of the Mennonite home at Maugansville, Md. for six years and then was employed for 14 years by the E. L. M. Grocery Store, Greencastle. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Anna (Shaffer) Eshleman; two daughters and a son, Mrs. Silas Petre, Hagerstown R.D. 6; Mrs. Kenneth Martin, Smithsburg R.D. 2, and Dr. J. Lester Eshleman, a missionary in Tarine, Tanganyika, Territory of East Africa; sister, Mrs. Susan Hemlin, of the Mennonite Home at Maugansville; a brother, Abner J. Eshleman, New Brighton; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Monday, meeting at the Eshleman home at 1 p.m., with further services at the Paradise Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. Burial will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Friends may call at the Eshleman home after 5 p.m. Saturday. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
