Description	:	Laddie J. Slosser, age 83 of Wahoo, died Sunday March 27, 2005 at the Saunders County Care Center. He was born February 23, 1922 at Abie, NE to Joseph and Rose (Kouma) Slosser. Slosser, age 83 of Wahoo, died Sunday March 27, 2005 at the Saunders County Care Center. He was born February 23, 1922 at Abie, NE to Joseph and Rose (Kouma) Slosser. He spent much of his childhood on the family farm near in Abie. While Laddie was still a boy, the family moved to a farm near Mead for a number of years, and finally moved to Wahoo after selling the Mead farm. In October of 1942, Laddie enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving for three years. While serving during World War II, Laddie was wounded several times, and earned the Purple Heart and a marksmanship medal, along with other honors. On June 3, 1948 he married Ruby Miller in Wahoo. Laddie worked for many years as a bridge construction foreman at JEO Consulting in Wahoo. He then worked at Breunig Rendering Works until his retirement in 1987. He was devoted to his work and to his family. On Sunday afternoons, the family always took a ride to see the bridge projects that he had been working on. Laddie and his four sons were constantly together. He always took one of them with him to work on Saturdays. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed listening to polka music. He was a member of Wahoo VFW Lodge #4502. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Blanch and Mildred. He is survived by his wife Ruby of Wahoo; sons and daughters-in-law Don and Judy Slosser of North Bend, NE, Ron Slosser of Villisca, IA, Bob and Linda Slosser of Wahoo, and Jim Slosser of Wahoo; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 31 at the Pruss-Nabity Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Storm officiating. Honorary casket bearers will be Tony Milenkovich, Tim Kennec, Chris Kuncl, Mike Loeffler, Jeff Robichaud, Dan Sheehan, and Terry Schmidt. Visitation with the family is scheduled for Wednesday, 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at Sunrise Cemetery with military honors conducted by Wahoo V.F.W. Post #4502 and Wahoo American Legion Post #82. Memorials are suggested to family choice.
