Born in Kearney, Nebraska, on August 7, 1948, to Harold and Rosalia Klein. LaDonna grew up in Pleasanton, Nebraska, and graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1966. She graduated from Kearney State College in 1970 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. LaDonna married Thomas Iltzsch in 1979, and they had one child. They divorced in 1984. LaDonna lived in many places in Nebraska throughout the years. She worked for Klein Drive Inn (Pleasanton), Buffalo County Department of Social Services (Kearney), Hodges Auto World (Lexington), Nebraska Radio Telephone Systems (Grand Island), Chief Industries (Grand Island), Super 8 Motel (Grand Island), and JCPenney (Lincoln). LaDonna greatly enjoyed cooking. She was an avid quilter and had just finished knitting her first sweater. She was an enthusiastic reader and was fond of weekly trips to her local library. LaDonna was very active in her church and her faith. She was always interested in being as active as possible in her retirement. Those that knew her all describe her as a funny woman and a nice lady. LaDonna is survived by: her daughter, Mary; brothers, Wayne Klein and Earl Klein; two cats, Jazzy Marie and Tiger. She is preceded in death by: her parents; sister Eileen; and many furry companions. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, March 17, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Pleasanton, Nebraska. Interment at the Pleasanton Cemetery.
