Read More	LaDonna Mae (Hutt) Meyer was born on December 25, 1955 in Brookings, South Dakota, the daughter of John and Vivian (Erickson) Hutt. Donna passed away on June 14, 2007 at the age of 51 years. She fought a courageous battle against cancer. She received her education in Brookings. She was united in marriage to James Meyer in Lemmon, South Dakota on August 3, 1974. They then moved and made their home in rural Volga where she was employed at Land O' Lakes for many years until the plant closed. Donna was a member of First Lutheran Church in Volga. She loved to spend her time camping at Lake Poinsett with her sister Vickie. Some of her favorite pastimes were cross-stitching, playing with the grandkids, gardening, and cooking for all her "extra" children. In the evenings she enjoyed sitting on the porch with her tiki torches burning. She is survived by her husband James of Volga; two daughters, Tonia Benthin and her husband Ron of Volga and Carrie Meyer also of Volga; one son John Meyer of Brookings; two grandchildren, Tori and Dominic Benthin; her mother, Vivian Hutt of Brookings; two brothers, Leroy Hutt of Bruce, SD, Dennis Hutt of Estelline, SD; two sisters, Carleen Anderson and her husband Al of Estelline, Vickie Molengraaf of White; her father-in-law, Kenneth Meyer; brother-in-law, Bob Meyer and his wife Nancy; sister-in-law, Patty Meyer; and many nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her father, her mother-in-law Della and a brother-in-law Joe Molengraaf. Funeral Service: Tuesday, June 19, 2007 First Lutheran Church, Volga, South Dakota Rev. Dan Overbo, Officiating Interment: Volga First Lutheran Cemetery Volga, South Dakota Visitation: Rude's Funeral Home in Brook ings.
