His funeral services was held Wednesday August 21, 2019 at Upton Hay funeral home. Kenny Westmoreland officiated and interment followed in the Moss Cemetery. Randy, Gary, Mark, Michael and Tracy Strong along with Matthew Barlow served as active pallbearers. Landy was born in Moss, Tennessee on Satrday March 22, 1952 to Carlos Caye and Wealtha (Armer) Strong. Landy was preceded in death by his father Caye who passed away in December 1999. Landy was a kind, loving person wh enjoyed life and those who shared his life. Adored by many, Landy had a special way of making those around him smile and feel loved. he attended Moss Elementary and then went on to attend Celina High School until the 12th grade. Landy was a member of the Moss Church of Christ. Landy is survived by his mother, Weltha Strong of Celina, TN; 5 brothers, Randy Caye Strong and wife, Karen of Carmel, IN, Gary J. Strong and wife, Cynthia of Cookeville, TN, Mark Strong and wife, Paige of Celina, TN, Michael Strong and wife, Teresa of Moss, TN and Tracy Strong and wife, Tricia of Celina, TN; 3 sisters, Faye Watson and husband, Thomas of Celina, TN, Gaye Strong of Celina, TN, and Sherry Barlow and husband, Mike of Celina, TN; nieces and nephews, Andrew Strong and wife, Cassie, Candy Carlyle and husband, Chris, Randi Barksdale, James Thomas Strong, Amber Strong, Marleigh Strong, Caye Strong, Taylor Strong, Grant Strong, Matthew Kyle Barlow and wife, Jessica and Cristi Beasley and husband, Kevin; many loving great-nieces and great-nephews, other family and friends who also mourn his passing.
