Larry Edwin Shatto, the son of Roy and Leona Graen Shatto, was born July 21, 1945, in Spencer where he received his early education and later graduated from Spencer High School. On Aug. 4, 1963, he married [living]. The couple made their home in Colorado, California, Fort Dodge and also in the Fostoria area for the last 17 years. Mr. Shatto was involved in various aspects of the trucking industry, most recently with Fostoria Truck Transport, which he and his wife owned and operated. He worked the Clay County Fair for 18 years as a Police Parking Lot Lt. and was on the Fostoria City Council for four years. He also raced his own street stock car between the years of 1978 to 1991. Mr. Shatto was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father and two sisters, Sharon Ann Shatto and Connie Holmes. He is survived by his mother, his wife, [one son and daughter]; four grandchildren, [six brothers and two sisters].
