Description	:	Larry J. Springer was born October 3, 1925, on a farm north of Milford, Nebraska to Jake and Lillie (Stauffer) Springer, the oldest of three sons and went to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at his home in Milford, NE. As a young boy, Larry attended a country school and later graduated with the class of 1943 from Milford Public School. Springer was born October 3, 1925, on a farm north of Milford, Nebraska to Jake and Lillie (Stauffer) Springer, the oldest of three sons and went to his heavenly home on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at his home in Milford, NE. As a young boy, Larry attended a country school and later graduated with the class of 1943 from Milford Public School. He accepted Christ as his personal savior and was baptized in his youth at East Fairview Mennonite Church, later becoming a member of Beth-El Mennonite Church, where he served faithfully. He enlisted into the Merchant Marines during World War II and served in the Pacific Theatre. Upon his discharge, he returned to Milford where he was united in marriage to Vera Riley on Nov. 29, 1945 and to this union two daughters and three sons were born. Larry farmed south of Milford where he was a dairy farmer and raised livestock. He retired in 1989 and enjoyed bowling, golfing and gardening. Larry also spent time on the farm whenever he could. Larry's wife, Vera, died in 1996, and he was blessed with a second marriage to Betty Miller on Feb. 19, 2005. His family was the center of his life and loved spending time with them all. Survivors are: wife, Betty Springer, children and spouses, Van and Barb Springer, Seward, Mark and Carole Springer, Milford, Jennifer and Mike Gutschenritter of Lincoln, Wendell and Susan Springer of Kearney, Shelly and Dennis Troyer, Milford, grandchildren, Chad, Trent, Mitch, Matthew Springer, Kami Herzberg, Bridget Olsen, Sarah Luther, Kalli Brown, Tenielle Thiele, Karlette Yoder, Denielle Ficke, Allison Policky, 22 great-grandchildren, stepsons, Todd Miller, Denver, Layne Miller, Milford, stepdaughter, Amy Bellefeuille, Tonawanda, NY, 4 step grandchildren, 2 step great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, John and Margie Springer, Albany, OR, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Naomi Yeackley, and Lois Riley, both of Milford, Walt and Jane Riley, Seward and a host of relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by: parents, wife, Vera Springer in 1996, son-in-law, Bob Brown in 2002 and brother, Robert Springer. Interment was in the East Fairview Cemetery, Milford, NE.
