Description	:	Larry J. Knight, 67, of 924 Sheffield, died at 11:35 a.m., March 2, 2005, at Hospice House, Ottumwa. He was born Feb. 25, 1938 in Ottumwa to Joseph E. and Clara P. Brown Knight. He married Frances Grooms June 11, 2000. A resident of Ottumwa most of his life, he had served in the U. S. Army and had retired from the University of California at Irvine. He loved to exhibit his 1953 Chevy in car shows. Knight both of Ottumwa, Dennis Knight of Cedar Rapids and Alan Knight of Orlando, Fla.; and sister, Beverly Mart of Kansas. He was preceded in death by son, Raymond Knight and sister, Mary Widger. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial with military services by O.B. Nelson Post #3 of the American Legion and Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 p.m. A memorial has been established to the family..
