He was born October 30, 1942 in Eldon, Iowa to Lloyd and Mabel Humphrey Hanna. Larry graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1960 and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Read More	Larry Lance Hanna, 72, of rural Floris, Iowa died May 15, 2015 at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield, Iowa. He was born October 30, 1942 in Eldon, Iowa to Lloyd and Mabel Humphrey Hanna. Larry graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1960 and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On May 31, 1969 he married Rachel Johnson in Newark, Ohio. He worked for John Deere in Ottumwa for 30 years, retiring December 31, 1996. While living in Eldon, Iowa he served on the Eldon City Council for several terms and later served as a Lick Creek Township Trustee while living in Floris. He was a member and deacon of the Des Moines River Primitive Baptist Church near Eldon, a past 4-H Leader, member of U.A.W., Vietnam Veterans of America, Disabled American Veterans, and the Davis County Hospital Auxiliary. After retirement, he volunteered at the Davis County Hospital in the gift shop. In his free time, Larry loved outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Rachel Hanna of Floris; son, Christopher (Teri) Hanna of Pulaski, Iowa; granddaughter, Zoe Hanna; grandson, Connor Hanna; and a brother, Gary Hanna of Carthage, Illinois.
