Description	:	Larry Leslie Miller was born to Leslie D. and Bernice Winter Miller on April 6, 1943, at Friend. He passed away on March 26, 1992, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva at the age of 48 years, 11 months and 20 days. Larry was one of two children in the family. To this union two children were born; a son,... Read More	Larry Leslie Miller was born to Leslie D. and Bernice Winter Miller on April 6, 1943, at Friend. He passed away on March 26, 1992, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva at the age of 48 years, 11 months and 20 days. Larry was one of two children in the family. He grew up on a farm near Exeter and graduated from Exeter High School with the Class of 1960. On February 22, 1964, he was united in marriage to Gloria Faye Hildebrand of Fairmont. To this union two children were born; a son, James Dean and a daughter, Denise Lynn. He spent his adult life working as a building contractor. he was a part owner of Math Construction in Geneva and later went into business for himself, starting Miller & Son Construction. In 1980 he built the Tiger's Den in Fairmont, which he operated until the time of his illness. He was a member of the Fairmont Community Church and for twenty-four years was involved as an active member of the Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Unit. Larry was a devoted family man and friend. His family was a great source of joy, and he was especially proud of his Whitney. He was always most willing to help a friend in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a niece. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; son, James; daughter, Denise Wiemer and husband, Tim; and by his granddaughter, Whitney Wiemer. Also surviving are his sister, Jane Thomsen and husband Alan, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were held at the Fairmont Community Church at 10:30 a.m. , Monday, March 30, 1992, with Rev. Tony Woodward officiating. Nancy Jo Galusha provided organ music and Francis Hurst accompanied himself on the guitar, singing "Precious Lord Take My Hand" and "Amazing Grace." Casket bearers were Dave Carroll, Tom Hassler, Wayne Henkel, Bobby Hoeft Jr., Francis Jacobsen and Pete Koozer. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
