Description	:	Mention was made in these columns last week of the death of Lars (Louis) Anfinson, of this city, while on a visit in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Louise Becking, in Elk Point, S.D., on Tuesday evening, March 25, 1941, of heart trouble, aged 72 years, 2 months and 5 days. Read More	Mention was made in these columns last week of the death of Lars (Louis) Anfinson, of this city, while on a visit in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Louise Becking, in Elk Point, S.D., on Tuesday evening, March 25, 1941, of heart trouble, aged 72 years, 2 months and 5 days. Lars Anfinson, son of Peter and Sophia Anfinson, was born January 20, 1869, at Madison, Wis. When a child he came to Union county, S.D., with his parents, where he grew to manhood on a farm, southwest of Akron. In his youth he farmed and learned the carpenter's trade. He was united in marriage with Miss Hannah Appley, of Union county, in April, 1900. They moved to Stanley County, S.D., in 1906, but after residing there one year they returned to Union county and farmed until coming to Akron to live about thirty years ago. Mr. Anfinson followed the carpenter trade here the remainder of his life. His wife preceded him in death in April, 1930. He is survived by an adopted daughter, Mrs. Louise Becking, of Elk Point, S.D., to whom the sympathy of many friends is extended. Mr. Anfinson was a man of strict integrity, hardworking and of a jovial nature that gained him many firm and lasting friendships. He was a kind and devoted husband and father, a fine neighbor and an all-around good citizen, who will be missed in the community where be spent the most of his life. He was baptized in early life and confirmed in the Brule Creek Lutheran church in Union county, S.D. Funeral services were held here at 2 p.m. last Friday in Immanuel Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. E.G. Svenson. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
