Description	:	Laura was the daughter of Peter Battis and Lydia Harvey. On Nov 26, 1845 in Canterbury, NH she married Newel Davis. On Jan 6, 1849 in Canterbury, NH she married Andrew J. Robinson, son of William Robinson and Sophia Battis. Their children were Mary E. and Nellie Ellen. In the 1850 census Mary and Nellie were both listed as 3 years old, with the last name Battis. Their mother was listed as Lydia Battis (should be Laura). They were living in Laura's parents home and Andrew Robinson was living there too. On Jan 6, 1849 in Canterbury, NH she married Andrew J. Robinson, son of William Robinson and Sophia Battis. Their children were Mary E. and Nellie Ellen. In the 1850 census Mary and Nellie were both listed as 3 years old, with the last name Battis. Their mother was listed as Lydia Battis (should be Laura). They were living in Laura's parents home and Andrew Robinson was living there too. Per this census Laura and Andrew weren't married yet; or it as a mistake of the census taker. Mary's death record listed her birth as 1847; Nellie's listed hers as 1849; so Andrew raised them and gave them his last name, but was not their birth father. They divorced before 1859. On Oct 2, 1859 in Boston, MA Andrew married Elizabeth (Forrester) Johnson. About 1861-62 she married Er Collins, son of John Collins Sr and Polly Presby, and widower of Mary C. Colby. A marriage record hasn't been found yet but in a descriptive roll of Co. D 11th NH Volunteers, written on Sep 10, 1862, Er is listed as Married and living in Warner, NH. Age: 64yrs Cause of Death: Dropsy Note: I can't find marriage records online for her first two marriages. This info was given to me by Jane Wescomb, so she found the info somewhere. In Aug 1850 Andrew Robinson was living in Epsom, NH in his parents house. In Oct 1850 he was living in Canterbury, NH in Peter and Lydia Battis's house. Peter Battis was the brother of Sophia (Battis) Robinson, Andrew's mother.
