BELLE GOLDSBERRY Mrs. Belle Goldsberry, 72 years old, a resident of Ottumwa for many years, died at the home of her niece, Miss Alice Clark in Seymour, at 6 a.m. Sunday. She had made her home with Miss Clark, since September, 1932. Mrs. Goldsberry suffered a slight stroke Friday morning preceding her death. Prior to going to Seymour, she had lived here with Mrs. Anna Kimble, 225 West Fourth street. She was the widow of S.E. Goldsberry who died at Marion, Iowa, a number of years ago. Surviving are one son, W.M. Goldsberry of Toledo, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. D.K. Stipe of Pratt, Kas., and Mrs. Elizabeth Wilford who lives here at 1032 West Third street, a brother, T.M. Goldsberry of Chicago, and two grandsons living in Toledo. There will be short funeral services held from the Clark residence in Seymour at 3:30 p.m. today, after which the body will be brought to the Lester Jay funeral home here. Friends may call at Jay's from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, when services will be held at the funeral home. The Rev. Harold Lancaster, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church of which Mrs. Goldsberry was a member will have charge of the services. Burial will be made in the Shaul cemetery. She was a member of the local chapter of the Eastern Star.
