Description	:	The Life Story of Miss Laura Belle Hoskins, 81 Miss Laura Belle Hoskins, the daughter of Sarah Emily and Eli J Hoskins, was born Dec 26, 1885, on their farm one mile south of Harlan in Lincoln township and she has lived her entire life there. She died after a lingering illness, at the Myrtue hospital in Harlan March 23, 1967, at the age of 81 years, two months and 27 days. Miss Hoskins has been a member of the Methodist Church in Harlan for many years and also a member of its Ladies WSCS. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant sister and a brother Charles. She is survived by her three sisters - Cora, Ella, and Bertha, with whom she has made her home, and by two brothers - Henry of Harlan and Roy of Denver, Colo. Miss Hoskins is also survived by two nieces, Mrs Beulah Woodin of Des Moines, Ia, and Mrs Evelyn Lund of Denver, Colo, and a nephew, Lowell E Hoskins of Thousand Oaks, Calif; by three grandnieces, Diane Woodin of Ames, Ia, Lynn Marie Hoskins and Karen Suzanne Hoskins of Thousand Oaks, Calif; by two grandnephews, Dennis Woodin of Harlan and Jeffery Scott Lund of Denver, Colo. Funeral services were held Saturday, March 25, 1967, at the Pauley Home for Funerals in Harlan with Dr Allan K Williams officiating. Burial was in the Harlan Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jack Lewis, Dick Powell, Deane Blakely, George Clausen, Harry Andersen and Richard Burmeister. The Harlan (Iowa) News-Advertiser April 3, 1967
