She was a native of Macon County, and a daughter of the late Andy and Carrie Pressley Sorrells. She was married to the late Dave Harrison Angel, who died in 1977. Surviving are a daughter, Edna Guffie of Franklin; a son, Edgar Angel of Rock Hill, S.C.; two sisters, Bertha Barrett and Myrtle Wooten, both of Franklin; three brothers, Rev. Fred Sorrells and Grover Sorrells of Franklin, and Henry "Jack" Sorrells of Canton; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were held at... Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, in Wells Grove Baptist Church, of which she was a charter member. Revs. Melvin Brooks and W.A. Showers officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Bryant Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
