| Description | : | Married 7 October 1839 The History & Genealogy of the Families of Chesterfield p96 lists her husband as Stiles E Ellis of Norwich. A son, Charles, lived in Manistee, Michigan Laura's marker is the only marker remaining in this cemetery. When the state took the land in the 1930s, the remaining Cole markers were moved to Ringville Cemetery in Worthington. The folklore is that the workers refused to remove the marker because she had died of a contagious disease - consumption & small pox most often mentioned - and they were afraid of catching it.
