She was born April 5, 1921, the daughter of Isaac Laurance and Wilhelmina Flitcraft Lippincott, and was the older sister of twin brothers, Larry and Bill. Read More	Obit: Todays Sunbeam, March 11, 2007: Laura Dean Walker Lippincott, age 85, passed away peacefully Friday morning, March 9, 2007 at Friends Village in Woodstown. She was born April 5, 1921, the daughter of Isaac Laurance and Wilhelmina Flitcraft Lippincott, and was the older sister of twin brothers, Larry and Bill. During their marriage of 43 years, Laura Dean and husband Earle raised 4 children, (3 boys and 1 girl) and were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Laura Dean was a lifetime resident of Woodstown, NJ. She was a graduate of Woodstown High School, class of 1939 and went on to attend Maryland College of Women in Towson. She had worked as a legal secretary for Burton D. Zehner of Woodstown. Laura Dean was a very active member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was once a District Officer in the W.S.C.S. She was a member of the Oak Tree Chapter of the N.S.D.A.R. In the Eastern Star, she had been a District Deputy of District 17, and Worthy Matron of Guiding Light Chapter O.E.S. Over the years, she has volunteered for Meals on Wheels, the Friends Home of Woodstown and The Memorial Hospital of Salem County. She enjoyed traveling with Earle, visiting many places all over the world including Egypt, Greece, Italy, England, Australia, and all 50 states. She was an avid card player, ready at any time to play pinochle, bridge, and Liverpool. She was also a great supporter of the Hershey Company. Her ready smile and sunny disposition; the way she would always remember birthdays and special occassions with a card, letter, or word; and her kindness, support, and encouragement of her children, grandchildren, and many friends will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Services for Laura Dean will be held on Saturday, March 17 at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 149 South Main St., Woodstown, with visiting hours from 9 to 11 and the funeral service immediately to follow. Interment will be in the Friends Burial Ground on West Ave., Woodstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 149 South Main St., Woodstown, NJ 08098 or to the charity of the donors choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the H.T. Layton Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Woodstown.
