Samlow, age 90, of Panama City, Florida, formerly of Napoleon, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 9th, 2013 at the Covenant Hospice Unit at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nettie (Hefflinger) May, her husband of 62 years, Delmer, sisters Mildred May, Daisy Fern Meulman, Eva Teets and brothers Francis and Donald May. Laura was a housewife and lifetime farmer. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she attended various Bible classes and was a member of the Women's Mission Society. She enjoyed... She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nettie (Hefflinger) May, her husband of 62 years, Delmer, sisters Mildred May, Daisy Fern Meulman, Eva Teets and brothers Francis and Donald May. Laura was a housewife and lifetime farmer. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she attended various Bible classes and was a member of the Women's Mission Society. She enjoyed music and was happy singing or playing her keyboards. Although she lived in Florida for eight years, she never lost her faithfulness to the Ohio Sports teams - the Buckeyes, the Indians, and the Browns. She is survived by a daughter Sandi (Mike) Brown of Lynn Haven, Florida, a son, Tom Samlow of Napoleon, 5 grandchildren - Stephanie (Matt) Hutton of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, Kelli (David) Chapman of Panama City, Florida, Jacki (Tim) Brown of Auburn, Michigan, Craig Brown of Lynn Haven, Florida, Ian Samlow of Bay City, Michigan and 10 great grandchildren. A celebration of Laura's life will be held on Wednesday, May 15th at 11 a.m. at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in Napoleon with the Rev. Charles Kramer officiating. Visitation will be from10:00 a.m. until the time of the service with lunch being served at the St. Paul Trinity Center. Interment will be at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Messiah Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 3701 W. Hwy. 390 Panama City, Florida 32405 or the St. Paul Lutheran Memorial Fund.
