FRED THOMAS Laura Eva Kime, daughter of John and Eva Matilda Kime, was born at Prole, Iowa, Feb. 3, 1894 and passed away at her home in Lucas, Iowa, Jan. 14, 1956, at the age of 61 years and 11 months. On Sept. 21, 1912, she was united in marriage to Frederick Thomas. To this union eight children were born: Ida Parker of Indianola, John Thomas, Freda Eaton, Mabel Douglas and Rosemary Burkhead, all of Des Moines, Grace Penick of Carlisle and Loyal Thomas, now serving in the Air Force in France. One daughter preceded her in infancy. Also left to mourn her passing are sixteen grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Goldie of Ft. Wayne, Ind. and Mrs. Mayme Eckley, of Pleasantville, Iowa, two brothers, Harry Kime of Des Moines and Frank Kime of Hastings, Nebr. and many other relatives and friends. Her parents, one sister, Marie Weeks and one brother, Fred, preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Norwood E.U.B. church by the Rev. Clayton Paxton. Burial was in the Norwood cemetery.
