Description	:	Laura Garren Johnson of Conway, SC went home to be with the Lord at age 74. Mrs. Johnson was born in Myrtle Beach and was the daughter of the late Bertrand and Edna Garren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Johnson never missed an opportunity to share her enjoyment for her kids or grand kids. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for more than 38 years where she also served on the Alter Guild. Read More	Laura Garren Johnson of Conway, SC went home to be with the Lord at age 74. Mrs. Johnson was born in Myrtle Beach and was the daughter of the late Bertrand and Edna Garren. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Johnson never missed an opportunity to share her enjoyment for her kids or grand kids. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church for more than 38 years where she also served on the Alter Guild. Mrs. Johnson also volunteered her time with many groups including Cub Scouts, Brownie Leader and PTA President. She was married to her high school sweetheart, the late Benjamin Troy Johnson. They were married for 50 years. Mrs. Johnson was also predeceased by a son, Benjamin Johnson; her sister, Sarah Garren Wilkins and two brothers, Bertrand and Reggie Garren. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her daughter, Vicki Johnson (Steve) of Harrisonburg, VA; her sons, Kirk (Cathy) Johnson of Little River, Matt (Lisa) Johnson of Conway and Chris (Heather) Johnson of Myrtle Beach; her grandchildren, Brittany, Hunter and Elizabeth Johnson of Harrisonburg, VA, Sarah Johnson of Little River, Cody and Dillon Johnson of Conway and Ben, Luke and Allie Johnson of Myrtle Beach; and her sisters, Tippy James of Isle of Palms, Sue Martin of Atlanta and Sylvia Townsend of Conway. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Dunn and Rev. Kyle Randle officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
