LEROY EDWARDS PASSES AWAY AT ROCHESTER BORN AND REARED IN GRANT Survives Operation For Goitre Only Thirty Hours--Funeral Today at the Struble Methodist Episcopal Church. Mrs. Leroy Edwards died Tuesday at Rochester, Minn., where she went a short time before to consult physicians. She was operated on for goitre and owing to her weakened condition could not rally from the shock and died thirty hours after the operation. The body was brought to Le Mars and taken out to the home of her girlhood in Grant township. The funeral will be held at the Struble Methodist at 10 o'clock this morning and the remains will be brought to LeMars for interment. Laura McDougall was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. N. McDougall and was born thirty years ago on the farm from which her body will today be taken for burial. She was reared in that community and nearly ten years ago was united in marriage to Leroy Edwards. They resided in LeMars several years and soon after the new town of Craig was strted moved to that place where Mr. Edwards conducts a meat market. There children were born of the union, one of whom is a baby but three months old. The two older children aged eight and five both suffered severe attacks of infancy paralyss while the family lived in LeMars and neither of them fully recovered from the effects of the disease. In addition to the husband, children and parentd, Mrs. Edwards is survived by three brothers, Edward, of Milnerville, John and Chester, and three sisters Mrs. Hattie Glaser of Sioux City, Mrs. Pearl Barton of Sioux City and Miss Mary who lives at home. The funeral services will be in charge of Rev. E. F. Gilbert, of the First Methodist Episcopal church, of which deeceased was a consistent member.
