Description	:	FLORENCE — Laura Jean Cain, 75, of Florence died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, after an illness. She was born in Florence County, the youngest daughter of the late James Flynn and Mary Laura Poston Cain. She grew up in the community of Evergreen, graduated from Tans Bay High School and Florence Business School. She began her lifelong career as a legal secretary at the age of 17, and continued to work until her illness. She was a charter member of the Wild Rose Garden Club, a member of the ETA Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Sarah Blanton... Read More	FLORENCE — Laura Jean Cain, 75, of Florence died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, after an illness. She was born in Florence County, the youngest daughter of the late James Flynn and Mary Laura Poston Cain. She grew up in the community of Evergreen, graduated from Tans Bay High School and Florence Business School. She began her lifelong career as a legal secretary at the age of 17, and continued to work until her illness. She was a charter member of the Wild Rose Garden Club, a member of the ETA Chapter of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Sarah Blanton Circle of Central United Methodist Church. She was also an active member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, where she served as church secretary for almost 50 years, and sang in the church choir. Miss Cain enjoyed music and especially the bluegrass programs at Lynches River State Park. She was preceded in death by four brothers, John Henry Cain, Charles Moultrie Cain, Labruce Cain and James Flynn Cain II. Surviving are a sister, Rosa Lee Floyd, and a brother, Newell Bobby Cain and his wife, Betsy, all of Florence. She was close to her three nieces, a nephew, two great-nieces, a great-great-niece and several great-great-nephews. Memorials may be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 6758 Francis Marion Road, Pamplico, SC 29583. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home
