Read More	Laura (Lorie) Lynn Obermeier July 12, 1967 - June 11, 2007 Lorie (Mrs. Ted) Obermeier, age 39, of rural Clark, SD, died on Monday afternoon, June 11, 2007, in the Hospice Unit of Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, following a five and a half year illness with scleroderma. Lorie was born on July 12, 1967 at Watertown, the daughter of Lyle and Donna (DesLauriers) Reppe. The family resided near Crocker where she was raised. She attended school at Bradley and graduated from Clark High School with the class of 1985. Following high school, she attended college at Northern State University in Aberdeen for one year. She was united in marriage to Ted Obermeier on October 4, 1986 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Clark. They resided on the farm near Crocker their entire married life. Lorie was employed during her lifetime at the Clark Nursing Home for several years, and did bookwork at the Clark County Farmers Elevator and at DesLauriers Oil Company in Clark until her health failed. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Clark. She was a member of St. Michael's Altar Society and served as a co-chairman of the altar society for a period of time. She also served as a greeter at her church. She was a member of the Nimble Fingers Extension Club, a member of the North End Neighbors Coffee Club, and served as treasurer of the St. Thomas Cemetery Association at Crocker. She was one of the organizers of the very successful Crocker Centennial held at Crocker during the summer of 2006. Lorie loved helping her family in any way she could on the ranch. She dedicated her life to her husband, her children and loved organizing family events with her parents, her brothers and her sisters. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, her flower gardens and cross-stitch embroidery. Among survivors grateful for having shared in her life are her husband, Ted and her children Wilkes and Serena, all of Clark; her mother, Donna Reppe of Crocker; three brothers, Steve Reppe of Crocker, Dan Reppe and his wife Tammy of Conde and Bill Reppe of Bradley; five sisters, Patty Peterson and her husband Elwood of Bradley, Janet Lynch and her husband Doug of Webster, Cathy Bjerke and her husband Gary of Bradley, Christine Meier and her husband Bob of Doland and Carrie Reppe and her fiance Michael Benson of Watertown; her father-in-law and step mother-in-law, Bill and Jean Obermeier of Clark; a brother-in-law, Fred Obermeier of Clark; and many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Lyle Reppe on December 24, 1998; her mother-in-law, Jeanne (Fromdahl) Obermeier on October 25, 1995; and her grandparents, Einar and Lillian Reppe and Lester and Frances DesLauriers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16th, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Clark. The Rev. Bill Hamak will officiate and burial will follow in the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery at Crocker. The pall will be placed by her sisters Patty, Janet, Cathy, Christine and Carrie. The lectors will be Fred Obermeier and Darwin DesLauriers. The gift bearers will be Tanya Lieberman, Tara Peterson and Nicole Kellar.The ushers will be Eric and Lisa Meier and David and Cindy Borns. The casketbearers will be Travis Peterson, Troy Peterson, Steven Reppe, Harley Lynch, Blake Lynch, Alex Reppe, Adam Reppe, Riley Reppe, Thomas Bjerke, Tanner Bjerke, Grant Van Gilder, Dustin Van Gilder, Bill Henry Obermeier and Jake Obermeier.
