She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin: her son, Randy Nelson; her sisters Jean Reinert, Esther Fisher, and Ruth Roemerman; and her brothers Lawrence Shirley and John Shirley. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at First Lutheran Church in Ottumwa with Rev. Mark Johnson. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the family to be designated at a later date. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
