The sad intelligence of her death spread a gloom over the entire community in which she was well known and highly esteemed. A large and sympathizing concourse of relatives and friends followed the remains of the deceased to the Methodist Church at 2 pm on Sunday where an impressive and solemn funeral sermon was delivered by Rev W S Martin. At the conclusion of the services in the Church the body was taken to the Episcopal Churchyard where it was interred. Mrs Congdon was a native of Kansas and had been at resident of Georgetown for about twelve years. She was a consistent and active member of the Methodist Church and a devoted wife and mother. Her death is mourned by a grief stricken husband and three little daughters. The afflicted family have the profoundest sympathy of our entire community in their bereavement.
