Born to Angelo and Mabel Corulli in July, 1932, at Deaconess Hospital in Wenatchee, WA, Lou was a lifelong resident of Washington State. He graduated from Chelan High School in 1950, and attended several colleges in the state to earn his double Masters. He served two years in the Army. Read More	Laurel "Lou" Corulli July 30, 1932 ~ December 11, 2013 Laurel "Lou" Corulli, 81, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at his home with his wife of 18 years, Sharlene Corulli, by his side. Born to Angelo and Mabel Corulli in July, 1932, at Deaconess Hospital in Wenatchee, WA, Lou was a lifelong resident of Washington State. He graduated from Chelan High School in 1950, and attended several colleges in the state to earn his double Masters. He served two years in the Army. In college and in the Army, he coached and played football. He was All Conference in football for two years in college. He coached baseball, basketball and football. Lou married Barbara Harris in May 1961, the mother of his four children, Edward, Elizabeth, Douglas and Kathy. Lou taught in the Wenatchee School District for 30 years. He taught general education and art classes and received multi-national awards for his Special Education programs. Lou had a passion for art and for sharing his sketches with the young community to color and display. Lou was a sports enthusiast and a power-lifter, earning 18 World and 46 National titles and competing until the age of 79. He attended the Free Methodist Church and was a beloved member of the Wenatchee Valley. Lou married Sharlene Bowes in September 1995. Together they traveled the Northwest in their motorhome, enjoying every minute. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, two brothers and a sister, as well as his first wife, Barbara. Survivors include his wife, Sharlene; brother, Cecil Corulli; children, Edward, Elizabeth, Douglas, Kathy and stepson, Jack Bowes, and stepdaughter, Sue Burbridge; and 15 grandchildren. He lived his life by his mantra, "If you don't have family, you don't have anything!" Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Wenatchee Free Methodist Church, with Interment following at Sunnyslope Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
