Saunders, Granddaughter I thought he walked on water I never thought he would pass, He was so very alive And yet he faded so fast. There were too many words left unspoken And so many things left to do, We missed too many laughs and hugs Our friendshp was so brand new. I am glad I did not know How little time we would share, Because I know I would not have Allowed myself to really care. Although my heart is broken And I will miss him so, The bond between us was too special To trade for the tears that now flow.
