Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Monday, November 7, 2011 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, SD with Rev. Hans Sacrison officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake, SD. La Vera Margaret (Milton) Reihe was born December 20, 1917 in Brandt, SD to Joe and Emma (Schnarr) Milton. She was united in marriage to Clarence Reihe on June 20, 1940 in Canby, MN. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed near Altamont and Astoria, SD. In 1977, they retired and moved to Clear Lake, SD. On March 27, 1985 Clarence passed away. La Vera remained in Clear Lake and entered the Deuel County Good Samaritan Home in October of 2011. La Vera passed away on November 2, 2011 at the age of 93 years, 10 months and 13 days. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, SD. She enjoyed living on the farm and continued her love of plants as demonstrated by her gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed playing cards and traveling. She traveled to many countries and states. In the last few years she found many friends, including the staff at the Good Samaritan Home. Her neighbors Bob and Donna Atyeo and Marcile Djonne were a blessing to her. She is survived by her son Berwyn "B.J" (Vickie) Reihe, Des Moines, IA; daughter Janice (Roger) Pamperin, Lubbock, TX; 10 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many special friends including Leona Reihe and Sonja Reihe. La Vera was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; parents;son Clarence "Buddy" Reihe; sisters: Joyce Milton, Fern Svaboda, Elaine Moravetz, Gloria Juenke and Fae Baer; brothers: Harold, Leeferd, William and Clarence Milton and many sisters and brothers in law.
