Description	:	Lavon Del "Ma Brown" Brown, age 78, a native of Knight, La. and a resident of DeQuincy, La., died Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at her residence in DeQuincy, La. She was a member of The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy, La for over 19 years. Known as "Ma Brown", she will forever be remembered as a lady that loved people and would do whatever it took to help someone in need. She loved "word search" puzzles. Read More	Lavon Del "Ma Brown" Brown, age 78, a native of Knight, La. and a resident of DeQuincy, La., died Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at her residence in DeQuincy, La. She was a member of The Pentecostal Church of DeQuincy, La for over 19 years. Known as "Ma Brown", she will forever be remembered as a lady that loved people and would do whatever it took to help someone in need. She loved "word search" puzzles. She was a fixture at the local Dairy Queen and was often referred to as the "door greeter". Lavon was a Mother Hen to not only her children but to the employees of Dairy Queen and loved them as her own. She was concerned about the health and well being of her family, always calling and making sure everything was ok. Lavone was a very genuine lady and lived her Christian life by example and believed that "if you are going to do something, do it right the first time". She was the daughter of the late Johnney Jarrell and the late Laura Midkiff Jarrell. She is survived by her Daughters, Daughter-Fredia Brown of DeQuincy, La. Daughter-Pam Brown of DeQuincy, La., Son, Son-Clifford "Leon" Brown and his wife Michele of DeQuincy, La, Sister, Sister-Lloy Jarrell of Tyler, Texas, Brothers, Brother-Marvin Jarrell and his wife Ruth of Austin, Texas Brother-Julius Jarrell of Burleson, Texas She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of over 54 years - Fred L. Brown, 7 Brothers, 3 Sisters and One Grandson - Patrick Healy. Funeral service were at The Pentecostal Church at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 7, 2009, the Revs. G. David Hennigan and Rev. Dale Welch officiated. Interment followed in the Hinson Cemetery in Knight, La.
