She died Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk. 1934-2017 The daughter of Gerhardt and Doris (Raubach) Weber was born Dec. 31, 1934, in Pierce County. She was baptized on Feb. 24, 1935, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. She was confirmed on March 21, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. She attended School District 40 in Pierce County and graduated from Plainview High School in 1952. After high school, LaVonne taught at a country school near Breslau from 1952 to 1953. She married Phillip Lubke on April 26, 1953, at Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview. LaVonne and Phillip lived and farmed near Foster for 33 years. She worked at Wal-Mart in Norfolk for 12 years before retiring in the late 1980s. LaVonne and Phillip moved to Hadar in 1986. Lavonne was very active in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster throughout her life. LaVonne enjoyed crafts, sewing, canning, gardening, raising chickens and cooking and baking for her family. She especially enjoyed making fried chicken and kuchen bread. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Foster, as well as various church boards and the ladies aid. She also served as a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. Survivors include a son, William (Brenda) Lubke of Greensville, Texas; a daughter, Janet Koehler of Norfolk; a son, Roger (Millie) Lubke of Norfolk; a son, David (Jean) Lubke of Foster; a daughter, Pam (Randy) Miller of Norfolk; a daughter, Lisa (Mike) Kilcoin of Hadar; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy VanOsterg of Breslau; a sister, Lee Fee Miller of Tennessee; a brother, Randy (Lisa) Weber of Wisconsin; and a sister, Susan (Randy) Beltz of Norfolk. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerhardt and Doris, and brothers Russell Weber and Doug Weber. Organist for the funeral will be Jeanne Oltjenbruns. Casketbearers will be Brandon Lubke, Joshua Lubke, Darin Lubke, Chad Miller, Jeremiah Lubke, Frank Bygland and Rylee Tatum.
