HOFFMAN, 85, 3027 N. 650 E., died 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at ExtendaCare of Rochester. Born in Fulton County to Charles W. and Delta P. BARKMAN HOFFMAN, he married Martha E. MATHEWS on Jan. 13, 1935 in South Bend. She died on Aug. 29, 1996. Mr. Hoffman retired from the family farm in 1988. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and Fraternal Order of Police, both of Rochester. Survivors include two daughters, Janice and husband Phillip PRATT, Rochester, and Sharon BEAMAN, Kokomo; one daughter-in-law, Rosemary HOFFMAN, Bloomington; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Richard [HOFFMAN], two brothers, Donald [HOFFMAN] and an infant brother, Duane [HOFFMAN]. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Phillip PRATT officiating. Burial will be in Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. through the hour of services on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the Bethlehem Baptist Church.
