Larry, a millwright and an accomplished machinist, a motorsports fan and race car driver, an entrepreneur, business owner, a long-time friend of a local Missouri Amish Clan and a one-time Millionaire. He was born on May 24,1939 to Albert Newton and Florence Victoria (Adams) Bolender and later adopted by James Harold and Virginia Ruth (Howell) DeLong in 1941. Larry enlisted in the United States Army in 1954 and served 3 years. Lawrence married Nancy Katherine Wright in Dec. 1959 and remained married until March of 1977. Lawrence remarried, to Margaret Caroline Ogden in 1982. Larry and "Marge" remained married until her death in 2009. Larry is survived by his children, Shenandoah Lee, Marionette Jo, Larry Douglas De Long Jr, Lucretia Ra, Rochelle Marie and Russell Robert, stepdaughter Rebecca Lynn, all but one was born in Lima OH. He was preceeded in death by both wives and his daughter Baliena Kay. Funeral services were held at Saint Matthew Cemetery in Lima OH on July 26th 2021.
