Description	:	CENTRAL CITY — Lawrence C. Reeves, 86, of Central City died Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City. Public graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Central City Cemetery, with Deacon Don Placke and the Rev. Tom Ryan officiating. Solt-Wagner Funeral Home (south location) in Central City is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Reeves was born Aug. 7, 1929, in Central City to Grover Cleveland and Anna Philomena (McMahon) Reeves. Lawrence grew up in Central City graduating from Central City High School in 1947. Following high school, Lawrence married Donna Rusterholz on Sept. 16, 1950, in Central City at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Lawrence and Donna made their home in Central City, he then joined the United States Army where he proudly served his country from 1952 until 1954, serving during the Korean Conflict. Following his service, Lawrence and Donna made their home on the family farm. Lawrence farmed until the mid 1970’s when he took on a supervisor job at New Holland. He then got his real estate/brokers license, and opened his own Realty business in Central City. He ran his real estate business until his retirement in 1994. Following his retirement, Lawrence and Donna moved to their lake. Lawrence was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Central City, and a member of American Legion Post 6 in Central City. He loved being on the lake and continued to work around the lake, as well as working with tractors, but his greatest love and enjoyment came from spending time with his family. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Donna of Central City; son, Larry Reeves of LeShara; daughters, Marcia (Doug) White of Boca Raton, Fla., Tina (Don) Broekemeier of Central City; one son-in-law, Steve Shively; sisters-in-law, Elvera Steimle of Grand Island and Doris Reeves of Chesapeake Bay, Md.; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pam Shively; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry (Bernice) Miller, Paul Reeves and Jerry Reeves; sisters and brothers-in-law, Eleanor (Ralph) Hensley, Evelyn (Milton) Hensley and an infant sibling.
