He passed away in Grand Island August 30, 1963. Lawrence was baptized a German Lutheran at Worms, Nebraska. The Palmer community furnished him his early education. On January 11, 1933 he was married to Irene Viola Gillham at Columbus, Nebraska. Irene and Lawrence spent all their life together in the Archer community where Lawrence farmed on a large scale, exhibiting his deep interest in farming. ... He passed away in Grand Island August 30, 1963. Lawrence was baptized a German Lutheran at Worms, Nebraska. The Palmer community furnished him his early education. To Irene and Lawrence were born five children all of whom survive him, as well as his wife, Irene. William Lawrence and Kenneth Dewayne live in the Archer community, Patricia Joan Weller at Palmer, Richard Eugene at home, and Roger LaMont in the service at San Diego, California. Four grandchildren, Rex Douglas, Debra Sue Weller, Rhonda Kaye, and Sheri Lynn also survive him, as well as his mother, Mary of Grand Island; and three brothers, Clarence and Walter of Palmer, Harlan of Aurora; and five sisters, Lillian Kroeger of Elkhorn, Iowa, Erna Brown of Grand Island and Mrs. Clatus Hinkle, Ruby Donelson, Mrs. Francis White. Lawrence leaves many other relatives and a large host of friends whom he had gathered in his 59 years, 4 months and 7 days of this life.
