Description	:	UNION - Lawrence Dewey Revis Sr., 69, of 147 Brown's Creek Church Road died Feb. 1, 2001, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Lockhart, he was the husband of Gladys Horne Revis and son of the late Luther and Lucille Johnson Revis. He was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Sunday schoolteacher and church choir member. In addition, he was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 244 and the Hejaz Shrine Temple. Read More	UNION - Lawrence Dewey Revis Sr., 69, of 147 Brown's Creek Church Road died Feb. 1, 2001, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Lockhart, he was the husband of Gladys Horne Revis and son of the late Luther and Lucille Johnson Revis. He was a member of Brown's Creek Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Sunday schoolteacher and church choir member. In addition, he was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 244 and the Hejaz Shrine Temple. He was a 1951 Lockhart High School graduate where he was captain of the football team and was retired from Union County Department of Public Works. He was formerly employed with Conso Products. Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter, Kendra Owens of Union; one son, Larry Revis of Union; and two brothers, Clarence Revis of Spartanburg and Melvin Revis of Union. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Holcombe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown's Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Joe Blalock and Forrest Davis. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Memorials may be made to Brown's Creek Baptist Church Relay for Life Fund, 118 Brown's Creek Church Road, Union, 29379.
