The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the cremation. Lawrence E. Hackett was born November 20, 1920 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Frank P. and Gertrude (Kating) Hackett. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. Hackett was born November 20, 1920 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Frank P. and Gertrude (Kating) Hackett. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. Lawrence served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946 during World War II as an Aviation Machinist. He married Pauline Bartz in 1947. He worked for Clinton Corn Processing as a machinist and foreman. He is survived by two daughters: Kathy (Vincent) Hackett-Feltner of Punta Gorda, Florida and Joyce Hackett of Laharpe, Illinois; one brother Robert Hackett of Clinton; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
