Cook, the son of Lewis and Clementine Cook, was born March 11, 1882, in Clay County, Nebraska, and departed this life at a Superior hospital, April 15, 1947, at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 4 days. He spent all of his life in Clay County, until four years ago, when he moved to Nelson Nebr., to make his home. He was united in marriage to Ora V. Trobough, November 29, 1905. Cook, the son of Lewis and Clementine Cook, was born March 11, 1882, in Clay County, Nebraska, and departed this life at a Superior hospital, April 15, 1947, at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 4 days. He spent all of his life in Clay County, until four years ago, when he moved to Nelson Nebr., to make his home. He was united in marriage to Ora V. Trobough, November 29, 1905. To this union were born three children: Mrs. Georgia Zikmund, Nelson; Mrs. Marietta Sheets, Superior; and Myrl Cook, Fairfield, Nebr. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and three children, four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and his aged father, Lewis Cook of Emmett, idaho. There are five brothers and two sisters: Lester of Edgar, Nebr., Lewis of Burwyn, Nebr., Ivan of Caldwell, Kansas, Melvin of Eagle, Idaho, Glen of Oakland, California. The sisters are, Mrs. Bessie Brubaker of Emmett, Idaho, and Mrs. Fay Cassell of Boise, Idaho. Mr. Cook also leaves many nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. He enjoyed the farm and spent most of his life time as a tiller of the soil. He was a thoughtful and kind husband and father, and enjoyed his large circle of friends. At home on the beautiful hills of God By the valley of rest so fair, Some day, some time, when our task is done, With joy, we shall all meet there. The funeral services were held in the Methodist church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Clarence V. Powell, assisted by Mrs. C.V. Powell. Music was furnished by a quartet: Roy Shaw, Mrs. Cecil Keeney, Mrs. Robert Mickdeson (sic), and Jay Hubbell with Mrs. Russell Brodrick at the piano. Lowell Powell sang, "I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone," accompanied by Mrs. H.H. Hite. The pallbearers were LaVerne Gingrich, Carl Sarnes, Tom Shaw, Irvin Essinger, John Petty and Floyd Meyer.
