Arrangements by Lien Funeral Chapel, Stickney, South Dakota Lawrence Schranck was born July 21, 1913, in Stickney, South Dakota, the son of Otto and Martha Schranck. He grew up and attended school in Stickney, and worked with his father on the family farm until he married Wilhelmina C. Hohn on June 2, 1938, in Mount Vernon, South Dakota. They spent some time in Mitchell, S.D., where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic. In 1955 they moved to Rapid City, S.D., where he continued to work as a mechanic until 1973. They moved to Green lake, Wisc., in 1974 to be near family and then moved to their home in Sagle, Idaho, on Jewel lake road in 1984, where they have resided since. Lawrence enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Edgemere Grange, Edgemere, Idaho. He was a member of Blooming Valley Lutheran Church, Corsica, S.D. He is survived by his wife, Wilhelmina; one son, Larry Schranck, Sagle, Idaho; eight grandchildren; one sister, Florence McDougall, Spokane, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Clarence and Wallace. * contributed by Travis Bolt
