Survivors include three sons, Lawrence Gunckle III of North Vernon, and Jack and Richard Gunckle of Lafayette; two daughters, Deb Smith of Lafayette and Pamela Gaylord of Champaign, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, Shirley Arnold, Jeanette Webb, Misty, Samantha and Belinda Hunter, Nicole, Jessica, Christopher and Dakota Greer, Ashley Gunckle, Jack Gunckle, Jr., and Brandon Gaylord; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded his parents; a daughter, Sharon Lee Gunckle; and a sister, Rosemary Landry.
