Description	:	WENATCHEE - Lawrence H. Morgan, 86, a longtime resident of the Wenatchee area, died Monday, April 25, 1994, at his home. He was born July 21, 1907, to Sidney A. and Fidelia A. (Bullard) Morgan at Burlington. The family moved from Ferndale to the Malaga area in 1921, and settled on one of the old Valhalla Orchard tracts near the present location of the Alcoa plant. He graduated from the Malaga grade school. He later attended the Western College of Commerce. Morgan, 86, a longtime resident of the Wenatchee area, died Monday, April 25, 1994, at his home. He was born July 21, 1907, to Sidney A. and Fidelia A. (Bullard) Morgan at Burlington. The family moved from Ferndale to the Malaga area in 1921, and settled on one of the old Valhalla Orchard tracts near the present location of the Alcoa plant. He graduated from the Malaga grade school. He later attended the Western College of Commerce. He worked on the construction of the Alaska Highway and the Canadian Highway as a civilian for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He later served in the U.S. Navy, and received his honorable discharge on Sept. 8, 1945. He married Inez Mae (Peggy) Truitt on May 11, 1946, at Wenatchee. He returned to construction work as a caterpillar operator in Sedro Woolley, and also in the Wenatchee area, at Cle Elum and Lake Wenatchee. He later owned and operated Morgan's Gravely Tractor and Power Implements for nine years. He retired from Dolco Packaging in 1980. He is survived by his wife, at the home; three brothers, Ernest of Olympia, Murrel of Deming, N.M., and Vernon of Sedro Woolley; a sister, Mrs. Henry (Ethel) Kimball of Wenatchee; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and three sisters. Arrangements are by Jones and Jones Funeral Directors, Wenatchee.
