Crum Jr. The Tribune Star Sun Feb 05, 2012 MEROM — Lawrence (Larry) Crum Jr., 75, of Merom, and formerly of Clinton, passed away on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Miller's Merry Manor, in Sullivan. He was born on March 17, 1936, to Lawrence and Hazel Crum of Bono, Ind. He attended schools in the Bono and Dana areas and proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean Conflict veteran. Larry was a member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge Jerusalem 99. On July 17, 1961, he was united in marriage to the late Patricia (Patty) Heskett; and she preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 1995. The children from that marriage, Michael Anthony, Mila Ann (Daniel) Stahl and Mark Alan survive him. On June 27, 1997, he married the former Patricia (Patty) Wheeler, who also survives him. He is further survived by his two brothers: Tom (Dorothy) and Jim; his sister, Naomi Plog; his grandchildren, Dylan, Marissa, Mitchell and Gavan Crum; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held in Sullivan, at Holmes Memorial Chapel on Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, from 2 to 6 p.m. Services will begin at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Dale Wise officiating, followed by a dinner gathering at First Christian Church of Sullivan. A visitation also will be conducted at Salem United Methodist Church, Hillsdale, Ind., on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. with services at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Felts officiating. There will be a luncheon provided afterwards at Salem Church. Burial will be at Helts Prairie Cemetery, in Hillsdale, next to his first wife. Military honors will be conducted at the graveside by Clinton American Legion Post 140 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6653. Online condolences may be made at: holmesmemorialchapel.com
