Obituary Lawrence Jensen Lawrence Jensen was born in Pierce County, seven miles north and two west of Meadow Grove, Neb., on March 19, 1898 and passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 1929, at exactly the midnight hour, in the Tilden Hospital, at the age of 30 years. He was the only son of the family. Although circumstances would not permit him an extensive education, he was broad and level minded, because of his wide experience and he shouldered a man's responsibility since an early age, due to the untimely death of his father. His parents, Carl and Sine Jensen, were good farmers living north of Meadow Grove. On Sunday, March 2, 1918, he was married to Miss Mildred Marie Boschult at her home near Pierce. Prior to his marriage, he lived on a rented farm and it was here he took his bride. Three years ago, he was advised by his physicians to seek a change of climate, following a very severe sickness. He disposed of his stock and farm equipment and after having spent some time in choosing a location, he decided, since he seemed in so much better health, to purchase his mother's farm northeast of Tilden, where he hoped to reside a number of years, his health permitting. This farm home was a source of keenest pleasure to him and he took great pride in improving here and there as needed. He joined the U. B. Church which he attended. He helped to care for his father-in-law, the late C. H. Boschult, who died recently, and definately laid out plans for the disposal of his belongings and made future provisions for the welfare of his wife. He is survived by his wife, his mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Christiansen, and sister and little niece of Grant's Pass, Ore.; Mrs. Fred Madsen, another sister of Stanton, Neb.; a half sister, Mrs. Carrie Brommond of Norfolk; also a number of uncles, aunts, cousins and a wide circle of friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Jensen, and sister, Mrs. Josephine Skon, and infant niece; also two sisters who died in infancy of scarlet fever. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. C. O. Peterson, and the regular pastor, Mrs. Glover, at the Baptist church in Tilden. Special music was rendered by the Baptist Choir and Kenneth Stewart. The body was laid at rest in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Tilden. The following close friends and associates acted as pallbearers: Ed Dushaded, Pearle Wyatt, Earl Fyre, Earl Lewis, Mark Orking and Walter Peterson, all of Meadow Grove.
