A native of Leopold, he was born April 30, 1901, the son of the late August and Rose M. (Hubert) Doogs. He was united in marriage Oct. 20, 1925, in Leopold, to the former Minnie M. Rogier, who preceded him in death Dec. 29, 1979. He was also preceded in death by a son, Sheldon Doogs. Mr. Doogs retired after 23 years of employment with Autolite in Fostoria. Thursday, June 25, 1992, at St. Catherines Care Center in Fostoria. A native of Leopold, he was born April 30, 1901, the son of the late August and Rose M. (Hubert) Doogs. He was united in marriage Oct. 20, 1925, in Leopold, to the former Minnie M. Rogier, who preceded him in death Dec. 29, 1979. He was also preceded in death by a son, Sheldon Doogs. Mr. Doogs retired after 23 years of employment with Autolite in Fostoria. He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and a former member of the Fostoria Eagles and Moose lodges. Surviving are three daughters, Erma Jean Saalman and Suzanne Boff, both of Fostoria, and Rosalie Bowen of Walbridge, Ohio; two sisters, Florence LaGrange of Tell City and Amy Meyer of Sedalia, Mo.; two brothers, August Doogs and Earl Doogs, both of St. Croix; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-granchildren. Services were held at 10 am. Saturday, June 27, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church in Fostoria, with burial in the church cemetery
