Description	:	Lawrence L. Milton, age 80 of York, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at York. He was born August 19, 1928 at Gordon to Earl and Ethel (Patterson) Milton. Following his move to York in 1980, Lawrence worked as a mechanic and carpenter in the York area and was a former member of the York Eagles Club. He was united in marriage to Virginia Bennett in Witten, SD on June 6, 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Doug and a brother Richard. He was born August 19, 1928 at Gordon to Earl and Ethel (Patterson) Milton. His family will, however, greet friends and neighbors Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 2-4 p.m., at the Hearthstone Court Community Room, 123 Meadowview Drive, York, NE. Private family inurnment services will be held in Winner, SD. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.metzmortuary.com. Metz Mortuary, York, NE is handling arrangements. Published in the York News-Times Newspaper July 10, 2009 NOTE: Names of living relatives have been taken out of obituary.
